“Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people” (Ps 3:8).

During the Easter Liturgy served yesterday in the Chapel of Saint Peter of Cetinje the Miracle Worker, at the Episcopal Residence in Cetinje, His Beatitude, the Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro, H.G. Mihailo, ordained subdeacon Ranko Kaljić from Herceg Novi to the rank of deacon.

Mr. Kaljić previously served as the Vice President of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church Community of Herceg Novi. He was tonsured as a reader and ordained as a subdeacon by His Eminence, the Archbishop of Kotor and the Littoral, H.G. Simeon, on the Feast of the Assembly of the Most Holy Theotokos, January 8, 2023 (December 26, 2022).

We congratulate Deacon Ranko Kaljić on receiving the first rank of the priesthood, with prayerful wishes that he may serve God in the Montenegrin Orthodox Church in good health for many years (na mnogaja ljeta).
