At the invitation of Her Excellency Judy Rising Reinke, Ambassador of the United States of America to Montenegro, His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro, Mr. Mihailo, attended the ceremony marking the 249th anniversary of the adoption of the United States Declaration of Independence.

On this occasion, Ambassador Reinke emphasized the importance of respecting human rights and religious freedoms as key values of modern democratic society, which form the foundation of international standards.

During the event, Metropolitan Mihailo had the opportunity to speak with numerous representatives of Montenegrin society and the international community, highlighting the importance of mutual understanding, tolerance, and joint commitment to the universal values of freedom and justice.

The celebration was attended by high-ranking representatives of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government, members of parliament from both the ruling coalition and the opposition, members of the diplomatic corps, civil society representatives, media, and other distinguished guests from public and political life in Montenegro.

The Montenegrin Orthodox Church expresses its gratitude to the Embassy of the United States of America for the invitation and for its longstanding support of the values of human rights, freedom of religion, and democratic dialogue in Montenegro.
