Dear Archbishop,

As the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church in Montenegro, I take the liberty to express, on behalf of our Church, the Holy Synod, and the faithful, our most sincere condolences to Your Excellency on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

His radiance showed us, with great clarity, the path by which we may live our lives simply, yet joyfully.

Through his openness, he inspired the great men and women of this world with his words, and for that, he will be eternally remembered.

We bid farewell with a memorial prayer, which says: You are the resurrection, the repose, and the life of Your servant Francis, O Christ our God, and to You we offer praise, as well as to Your Father without beginning, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
