On the occasion of Your election as Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I offer You my sincere congratulations and best wishes for the successful fulfilment of this responsible and honourable duty.

I am convinced that mutual respect, dialogue and appreciation of the spiritual and cultural distinctiveness of our communities are precious foundations for peace and a shared future. In a time of many trials, the responsibility of religious leaders is particularly evident in affirming human dignity, tolerance and coexistence among people of different faiths and worldviews.

With wishes for good health, wisdom and success in Your service, I express the hope that the paths of mutual understanding, cooperation and friendship will continue and grow stronger, for the benefit of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the wider region.
